'The app was launched last year by sisters Yanina and Viktoryia Strylets, who are data science and computer science graduates respectively. It's based on a study into the correlation between facial images and the five main self-reported personality characteristics — neuroticism, extroversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Users upload a selfie and ask A.I. Ruby to calculate their compatibility with potential connections. The face-reading algorithm will analyze the two user’s faces and identify personality traits on each one that mesh well with potential romantic partners, while also highlighting opposite traits.
