Networking, for anyone with a career, is a key part of business development! It's how we truly get to know people and, as importantly, all of the people that the person we are speaking with knows.
Of course, COVID brought virtual networking to the forefront which at the time was a blessing. Without it, business would have to to a virtual standstill.
But, because meeting virtually has become so easy, even post-COVID many people prefer it. It certainly cuts down on travel costs and travel time but, there is no comparison to in-person meetings. Watching and speaking from small squares on a computer screen can never take the place of being face-to-face.
We spoke with Cleon Cox, the 'Networking Whisperer', who is a motivational speaker and expert in the fine art of networking.
